I appreciate your willingness to share information.
MichelleGoldogmomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06088078734229333058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8727730397855478331.post-14983575854326896412014-07-16T18:05:37.065-05:002014-07-16T18:05:37.065-05:00I am still happy with my coverstitch. If I had more dealers nearby, I would have tried out more machines. I would even consider a serger/coverstitch combo as long as it is quick and easy to convert back and forth. I still have not purchased binders or any extras for the machine. I have been able to do everything I need to do without them. It definitely does not sew as smoothly as my Bernina sewing machine but, for the price, still does what I need it to do. I hardly ever have to adjust the tension and always get a nice stitch. I plan to use it this week to finish the ribbed neckline trim on a baby gown so I'll blog later about how that goes.Good luck!Janhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04498193066343735261noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8727730397855478331.post-90812049972809504212014-07-15T22:40:38.321-05:002014-07-15T22:40:38.321-05:00Jan, I am in the same delimma now and just did a t...Jan, I am in the same delimma now and just did a test drive with the BLCS and the Janome Coverpro 1000 CPX. At the store, the BL did a smoother stitch. I want the Janome for the free arm and the larger harp space. And, I want a GOOD stitch of course, as it will always show on the outside of the item. It does seem crazy to pay $500 more for the BL and, if as you said, I expect to only buy one, I want to get one with a good stitch.

Are you still happy with your Janome?

MichelleGoldogmomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06088078734229333058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8727730397855478331.post-4735833330645991032012-01-02T20:56:23.607-06:002012-01-02T20:56:23.607-06:00I went with the Janome. The discussion board on Patternreview.com was my primary source of information and advice. I can't imagine any question I would have that I couldn't find the answer for on the board. I made a KwikSew knit top today entirely on the serger and coverstitch. The Janome does all that I need and more. I'm glad that I didn't spend twice as much on the Babylock.Janhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04498193066343735261noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8727730397855478331.post-18118485140320897952012-01-02T17:53:58.297-06:002012-01-02T17:53:58.297-06:00So which did you go with? My local dealer really likes the Janome, but still uncertain as to which will be the best fit for me....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8727730397855478331.post-31753162779123803172011-11-07T14:38:20.005-06:002011-11-07T14:38:20.005-06:00What a great blog!
